Our social and recreational services are completely flexible, helping you to maintain your independence, remain at home longer and give you the freedom to do the things you’re passionate about.
• Group outings – being linked to a social group organised by KinCare, such as day and overnight trips, movie and theatre, shows, garden lovers, coffee club, scenic drives, lunch or dinner;
• Finding new activities – if you’re not sure what you want to do, or what’s available locally. We can help you locate new activities to participate in.
Kootingal Moonbi Social Support - Tamworth Regional Council Cockburn Cottage
Kootingal Moonbi Respite Care Centre provides group based social support at centre on Tuesday's and Thursday's consisting of bingo, cards, up word, rummy o and dominoes with the addition of morning tea, hot lunch and dessert. A social support men's group is offered every 2nd Tuesday of the month with the addition of morning tea, hot lunch and dessert and a social support craft group is offered on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, with tea and coffee provided. Gentle exercise classes are also offered every Wednesday morning at the centre for people over 65 years of age or younger people with a disability.

Uniting's Healthy Living for Seniors group at Concord is a relaxed way to stay in touch with your community. Join us on Fridays from 9.30am-10.30am to keep fit, make new friends and explore new things.
Amana Living CHSP - South West Metro
Group outings in the Perth community Monday to Friday and some Saturdays with transport included. Group social support available at dementia specific centre in Bullcreek.

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is a State Government organisation providing comprehensive health services to country West Australians.
WACHS spans 2.55 million square kilometres and is the largest country health system in Australia covering the whole of the State outside the metropolitan area.
Despite vast distances, WACHS provides health services to residents and visitors that include emergency and hospital services, population, public and primary health care, mental health, drug and alcohol services, Aboriginal health, child and community health and residential and community aged care services.
WACHS provides aged and community care services for older people across our communities, including aged care assessments, community care, residential aged care, subacute and acute care, and transitioning older people from hospital back into the community.
WACHS is a provider of CHSP services such as domestic assistance, personal care, meals and food services, and transport.

General Social Support Group Services are available to the clients through community centres and ’sheds’ located at the following areas throughout the district— Aldgate, Gumeracha, Norton Summit and Uraidla. Outreach/ Community Based services include group outings and trips.

The service is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, through the Commonwealth Home Support Program. It provides a safe and secure environment and meaningful activities for people living with dementia. It also provides respite for their carers.
Target Group: Older people with dementia from Chinese background residing in the South East Sydney Region.
Centre Opening Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (except public holidays) between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
Vision Australia Newcastle
Vision Australia provides a full range of services and supports to people who are blind or have low vision. Our services support you with techniques for reading including use of computers; advice and training to remain independent in the home and with personal care, and training on strategies to help move about safely and accessing public transport and more; and services to help you connect with others.
