EACH Social Activity Group - Newcastle
EACH Social Activity Groups offer the opportunity for older people to continue to be active within the community. The groups provide social and recreational activities in a supported and inclusive environment. Staff will plan daily activities with the participants based on people's interests as well as their needs. These may include celebrating community events, gentle physical exercises, reminiscing activities, music, guest speakers and creative art.
Gymea Community Aid - Social Support Group Services
Enjoy a great range of social activities, special interest groups and a variety of outings when you join our Social Support Group program. Regular activities include our Keeping Active and Social exercise program that offers a wide variety of different types of exercises such as Tai Chi, Boxing, Yoga, Buff Bands, Barre, Pilates, Resistance work and Strength training. These sessions are held in our local community hall and our local gym. Participants also have the option of joining organised social outings connected with this program.
Other group programs on offer are organised OPAL day trips to places of interest in the Sydney area using your OPAL card and all forms of public transport.
Special interest groups include Senior Men's Discussion group, Senior Men's Guitar group, 'Wrap With Love' Knitting Group, Book Club and Bus Outings to the wider Sydney area. Culturally specific groups include Chinese, Greek, and Spanish groups.
UPA Murray Social Support Group
The Social club operates on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9.00 to 2.30pm. Transport can be provided locally and from neighbouring towns. Activities include: entertainment, wellness and enablement activities, games, guest speakers and a monthly outing. A fresh home cooked 2 course meal is provided by our volunteers as well as morning and afternoon tea.

Do Care - Karingal St Laurence (genU)
Do Care Social Support groups encourage friendships in small group settings from seven to nine clients per outing. They provide clients with the opportunity to see more of their community. Groups are staffed with a paid employee and a volunteer. Clients are picked up from their home at an arranged time and returned home again after the outing. Outings include lunches, morning teas, mystery trips and drives to local attractions.
Social support groups are for entry level services and priority given to those who are not on a Home Support Package or receiving NDIS funding.

Local seniors are welcome to access our Social Support Group sessions and activities at Trinder Park. Alternatively, join in on the many and varied activities on offer, including exercise sessions, music and darts. The Day Therapy Centre is set amongst the trees of Trinder Park and is easily accessible.

Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.
