EACH Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) program provides tailored assistance designed with the purpose of helping to maintain each person’s lifestyle and independence. We do that by listening and providing choice and flexibility.
Our supports are built around an individual’s unique care needs, including but not limited to the following options:
• physiotherapy
• social work
• nursing support
• personal care
• and the provision of assistive technologies
This program delivers short-term care to older adults in home or a residential care setting and enables the individual to regain independence and autonomy rather than commencing long term care prematurely.
Anglicare At Home - Short Term Restorative Care - Western Sydney
HammondCare STRC - Northern Sydney
HammondCare STRC Programmes are designed to support people who are 65 years or older and are living at home in the Hornsby Ku-Ring-Gai Area. The STRC Programme is an early intervention programme that offers both preventative and targeted care, aimed at delaying functional decline or targeted at specific functional goals such as safe mobility and falls prevention.
Programmes are delivered by a multi-disciplinary team (Allied Health, Medical and Care staff) with experience in designing and delivering water and land based restorative care programs for older adults. Programmes are delivered over a period of (up to) 8 weeks with the focus of each program varying depending on the individual clients’ goals and care needs. Services may be delivered in either, or both, a home care or a residential setting.
HammondCare’s Centre for Positive Ageing actively promotes restorative care programs for older people in the local community and to service providers.
Martin Luther Homes
Martin Luther Homes is an approved Short Term Restorative Care provider servicing eligible clients in the Eastern and Southern Metro Region of Melbourne. The program enables clients to receive services within their own home or at our facility in the Basin. This 8 week program concentrates around re enablement and is supported by a great team of allied health clinicians.

Enrich Living is an approved Short-Term Restorative Care provider who will work with you to deliver a tailored package of care and services to achieve your set goals. STRC is delivered by a Multidisciplinary Care Team of three or more specialist care providers from different disciplines who will collaborate to provide you with comprehensive, outcome-focused treatment.

Resthaven Community Services - Northern
The Short Term Restorative Care (STRC) Programme is an early intervention programme that aims to reverse and/or slow physical or mental changes that you may be experiencing and improve your wellbeing and promote independence. Services are provided by Resthaven through a time-limited, multi-disciplinary and coordinated range of services designed with you to meet your goals.
Resthaven will work in partnership with you and your health team to support you in designing your service plan, which may include:
• assessment and treatment by nursing and allied health professionals (individual therapy, home-based and/or group exercise)
• education about remodelling home based tasks, equipment, nutrition, self-management of health conditions, remaining independent
• specific equipment, based on assessed needs
• support to build confidence and reconnect with your community
• short term assistance with daily tasks, as you regain your level of independence
• other services to meet your goals.
