Meals on Wheels SA - Salisbury
These services focus on providing meaningful food and dining experiences to support social connection and wellbeing.
Groups include, but are not limited to:
• Meals on Wheels branch lunches - MOW Customers can enjoy their regular Meals on Wheels SA lunch at their local branch with the company of other branch customers. An opportunity to meet the volunteers who prepare and deliver their meals.
• Coffee at the café or lunch at the pub - Customers are invited to meet at the local café or pub and enjoy the company of others whilst having a meal.
• Physical activity and lunch group - Customers can participate in a physical activity session specifically designed to meet the needs of older people, then stay on after the session to enjoy their Meals on Wheels lunch together.
• Cooking and food preparation classes - In a fun and safe environment, customers are assisted to prepare a shared meal, learn about food, the importance of good nutrition and food safety

Newtown Neighbourhood Centre - INNER WEST SENIORS - Social Support Group
A meeting place for older people to connect through social interaction, games, healthy aging information sessions and monthly outings. Our social support groups aim to provide a friendly environment where members feel welcomed, are enabled to continue living independently, and remain connected to their community.
The group is facilitated by staff and volunteers and meets on Fridays from 10am to 2pm at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, 11-13 Darley St, Newtown. Light refreshments are provided but members are asked to please bring their own lunch.
This service is for people aged 65 and over (50 years or older if you identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person), who live in the Inner West Sydney Local Government area. Transport to and from the group may be provided upon request, at a cost of $25 per person.

Centacare Catholic Family Services
Social Support Group:
Provides social groups once a month to CHSP or HCP recipients.
Groups are held on the third Monday of each month.
Groups are facilitated from Pooraka Farm Community Centre for a two hour duration (1:30pm - 3:30pm).
Social Support Groups are also facilitated for Aboriginal Elders twice a month (Enfield group and Playford group). These groups are facilitated on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Programs are mailed out to CHSP recipients each quarter and bookings are essential.
Contribution fee of $5 per hour - additional costs for specific activities and meals may apply.
HCP recipients are expected to pay the total cost of service.
