These services focus on providing meaningful food and dining experiences to support social connection and wellbeing. Groups include, but are not limited to:
• Meals on Wheels branch lunches - MOW Customers can enjoy their regular Meals on Wheels SA lunch at their local branch with the company of other branch customers. An opportunity to meet the volunteers who prepare and deliver their meals.
• Coffee at the café or lunch at the pub - Customers are invited to meet at the local café or pub and enjoy the company of others whilst having a meal.
• Physical activity and lunch group - Customers can participate in a physical activity session specifically designed to meet the needs of older people, then stay on after the session to enjoy their Meals on Wheels lunch together.
• Cooking and food preparation classes - In a fun and safe environment, customers are assisted to prepare a shared meal, learn about food, the importance of good nutrition and food safety

Newtown Neighbourhood Centre - GREEK MEN - Social Support Group
A meeting place for older Greek men to connect through social interaction, games, information sessions and monthly outings. Our social support groups aim to provide a friendly environment where members feel welcomed, are enabled to continue living independently, and remain connected to their community.
The group is facilitated by Greek speaking staff and volunteers and meets on Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm at Herb Greedy Hall, 79 Petersham Rd, Marrickville. Light refreshments are provided.
This service is for Greek men aged 65 and over who live in the Inner West Sydney Local Government area. Transport to and from the group is not provided.
