ADEC - Mental Health & Wellbeing Social Support Groups
ADEC facilitates Emotional/Wellbeing support groups for people with mental health concerns, their carers and family members. ADEC currently runs 5 language specific Wellbeing groups across the North/West and South regions of Melbourne for the Chinese, Turkish, Vietnamese and Afghan communities.
Group members support each other and receive and exchange information in their native languages about mental health and the services available. The Wellbeing program not only supports individual group members, but also plays a role in reducing the stigma of mental health within the communities that participate.
