In Darwin, we offer social support in a small group setting for people living with dementia or those with memory concerns - this includes access to social gatherings in the community and our day centre. You may also require a referral to transport if you need to be picked-up and dropped-off from activities.

In Tasmania, our social support group programs are fun, engaging, meaningful and held in a warm friendly atmosphere. Full day sessions include craft, woodwork, cultural days, barbeques and celebrations focusing on improved well-being, cognitive stimulation, and enjoyable social interaction.
Sydney Community Services - CALD Programs
The Social Support Program for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities is a caring and friendly service which aims to facilitate social inclusion of older people or younger people with disability from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. In consultation with community leaders, we design and facilitate a range of social activities which aim to support, promote and enhance the independence, quality of life and well-being of the participants.
This Service includes:
Day Trips to interesting and beautiful places
Information sessions on topics relevant to ageing community services and programs enabling people’s independence.
Celebration of culturally unique events
Leisure learning including art, craft, cooking and gardening
Skills improvement including English conversation and computer literacy
Wellness activities including gentle exercise classes

Carers Association Of Tasmania - Launceston
Carer Support Groups exist across Tasmania and provide an opportunity to meet and share information and experiences. There are various activities that each group offers.
