Carers support
Our services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services
are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities
Sandybeach Community Co-operative Society
The skilled and experienced REACH team promotes social inclusion and well-being through actively supporting and engaging with participants.Support with transport may be available for those who require it.
Our Planned Activity Groups run 5 days a week our aim is to provide people with the opportunity to stay active and enjoy a socially engaging life. Sandybeach works in partnership with participants and families to ensure goals and aims are met.
The REACH Department at the Sandybeach Centre provides activities for older members of our community that enhance wellbeing, increase or maintain independence, and which are creative and responsive to individual needs. The REACH program delivers interest based groups such as art, exercise, armchair travel, music programs and lunches. The skilled and experienced REACH team promotes social inclusion and well-being through actively supporting and engaging with participants. Afternoon tea and refreshments provided during each program. Support with transport may be available for those who require it.
Respite for Carers Programs also delivered in Mentone AND Carnegie. These are Music Respite Programs.

MWP Community Aid - Group Outings
Our Social Support staff and volunteers provide the following services: Group and individual activities. Visit a friend or relative. Visit the library, beach, movies, local garden nursery. Attend community/exercise groups. Escorted shopping.

Social support provided in a group setting or bus outing. A variety of activities depending on clients needs Eg: Coffee morning, tia chi, outings, service clubs, shows, book club, gentle excercise, swimming, aqua aerobics, fishing, markets, day bus trips, shopping, Men's Shed.
Vision Australia Ballarat
Vision Australia provides telephone, centre based activities as well as excursions to support people with vision impairment to continue socialising and stay involved in hobbies, interests and sports. Participants meet according to shared interests or needs.
St Davids Neighbourhood Centre
Centre based day respite is available at St David's Neighbourhood Centre through our Harmony Club. The Harmony club provides companionship and social contact for our clients. For many, the friendships developed by clients, staff and volunteers make a trip to the Harmony Club a highlight of the week. Activities on offer at the centre include craft & scrabble groups, indoor bowls and guest speakers and we head out to local places of interest.
Food is prepared on our premises by a qualified chef so those who attend the Harmony Club enjoy freshly cooked morning tea and lunch. Dietary needs can be catered for.
Transport is available from selected suburbs to and from the centre each time a client attends. Please contact us to see if your suburb is included.
