We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.

Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.

Do you need support with transport to appointments?
Or do you simply want to enjoy our low-cost bus trips?

Our buses and cars run every weekday. ​They will stop at your door and take you out for:

- Shopping;
- Bus trips;
- Flexible, personal transport with a car and driver; or
- A social outing, including the movies.

Flexible Transport by car is $10 each way. Priority is given to medical appointments, but other trips are subject to availability of a driver and a car.

At Uniting AgeWell (UA) we believe older people, like people of all ages, want to live in an environment of choice, empowerment and wellness, able to access support and care as they choose. UA Sefton Club offers a wide range of services to enable older people to remain active and independent, and living in their own communities, including , Social Support and Respite for Carers.

Our highly skilled team works closely with individuals and groups to help them achieve their personal goals.

Social support services can help you to maintain an active social life by having someone visit you in your home, or by arranging visits and outings in the community. Social support and activities can help you find a place where you feel supported and can help prevent loneliness and isolation.
Social support services can include:

visits to your home
helping you with shopping and other related activities
helping you to access support groups and recreational activities.

Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre provides Social groups and Activities for seniors over the age of 65 living in the St George Area.

Activities Include:
-Group Outings
-Long Trips and Short Trips
-Gentle Exercise Classes
-Yoga Classes
-Computer Classes
-Information Sessions with guest speakers.

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is a State Government organisation providing comprehensive health services to country West Australians.

WACHS spans 2.55 million square kilometres and is the largest country health system in Australia covering the whole of the State outside the metropolitan area.

Despite vast distances, WACHS provides health services to residents and visitors that include emergency and hospital services, population, public and primary health care, mental health, drug and alcohol services, Aboriginal health, child and community health and residential and community aged care services.

WACHS provides aged and community care services for older people across our communities, including aged care assessments, community care, residential aged care, subacute and acute care, and transitioning older people from hospital back into the community.

WACHS is a provider of CHSP services such as domestic assistance, personal care, meals and food services, and transport.
