Australian Multicultural Community Services - Social Support Groups
AMCS support seniors living at home to make and maintain social friendships via group participation. As part of these groups, we also encourage seniors to stay active. By facilitating activities that are interesting to the participants, we support a healthy ageing culture.
Regular sessions are held in accessible, comfortable and safe venues. Activities are organised according to the abilities of the people taking part and are designed to create opportunities to socialise and strengthen skills needed for daily living. The health and safety of clients remain our first priority. Please be assured that AMCS is fully informed of the COVID-19 vaccination mandate for home care providers. We are taking every measure to ensure compliance for the safety and wellbeing of our community as we continue our mission of improving lives through care, support and empowerment.In the West, we currently have a Multicultural, Polish, Chinese (Cantonese) and Arabic groups. Transport & meals are included.

Social activities - individual and group social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.

MiCare Multicultural Social Support Group Kilsyth
At our Multicultural and Dutch social support group, we look at the strength of the participant and empower them to participate in activity they choose. Our warm and welcoming social group will make people feel empowered and connected to the community. This will enhance their quality of life, maintain and improve their independence and to continue to live in the community with pride. All our staff are qualified and adopt person centre approach to support participants in the group. Activities include board games, physical games, Quizes, exercise, themed days and outings. ADEC - Social Support Groups
ADEC is a state-wide not-for-profit organisation that strives to empower people with a disability and the elderly from non-English speaking backgrounds, their carers and families to fully participate as members of the Victorian community.
We specialise in working with different cultures and religions and cater to the language needs of each individual. Most of our staff are bi-lingual, representing 20 countries and 25 different dialects.
