Life Care Active
This exercise class is led by a Personal Trainer and the aim is to improve the person’s balance
and therefore reducing the risk of falls. While the class is taken from a standing position, for
those people who are unable to stand for long periods the exercises can also be performed
seated. People who have been attending these classes have commented that they have more
confidence and independence because of their improved balance. *This class requires an
assessment by our Personal Trainer prior to commencement as well as a medical clearance
from the GP*.

Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre offers a subsidised Podiatry Service to people who are Frail Aged over the age of 65 and younger disabled living in the St George area and parts of the Canterbury area.
The Domiciliary Podiatry is available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday between the hours of 9.30am - 4.00pm
The Centre Based Clinic is offered on Wednesday’s between 12.30pm and 2.45pm  at the Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre,
30 Morgan Street, Kingsgrove.
Appointments are essential and can be made by phoning the Centre on (02) 9150 – 7823 Mon – Thurs 9am-4pm

We specialise in delivering in-home supports to people in living the community who have experienced deep, persistent disadvantage, social exclusion, and people who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness.
Our focus is on providing skilled and professional Social Workers with the time to get involved where family or social networks may not be available, to give a true holistic approach in partnership with our clients.
Referrals to our organisatio are varied, but mostly our support includes:
 - referrals into other services for long term support (such as My Aged Care)
 - case management to support clients to link into care they have already been approved for
 - advocacy
 - assisting  people to maintain connections with healthcare and attend their appointments
 - assistance with housing applications
 - assisting people to reconnect with their community
 - supporting people with matters relating to Services Australia (eg applying for pensions)

Our Health & Wellness services focus on rehabilitation and prevention. Consultations are available onsite at The Pines Health & Wellness Centre in North Plympton or direct to client’s home via a clinician visit or Telehealth. Southern Cross Care offer a wide range of allied health and therapy services including physiotherapy, accredited exercise physiology, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, podiatry, registered nursing and massage therapy. Our experienced friendly team will work together with you to get you onto your best health pathway using our range of specialised programs for physical, social and mental health, group exercise or one to one therapy, and chronic condition management.
