Respite care is there to support you and your carer for short periods of time. It can give you both a break and can also give you the chance to meet new people. This service takes place in aged care accommodation or in a community setting other than at home or with family. Community cottage respite can be overnight, weekend, or short-term support.

This service includes:
- cottage respite.
This service does not include:
- care subsidised through other programs. For example, residential respite as this is funded separately.
