You are welcome to join our community. The Helping Hand community is privileged to be made up of a blend of people from different cultures, religions, identities, backgrounds and beliefs. Our staff, volunteers, residents and clients all form part of our unique community. We welcome and celebrate all people, and Helping Hand delivers personalised and professional services to meet the needs of older people in South Australia. We provide guidance to our workforce to support diversity and inclusion through The Helping Hand Way and our specific projects in the areas and communities of LGBTI, Culture and Forgotten Australians.

Vietnamese Community SA - Aged Care Services
Non Vietnamese speakers are also welcome to the group.
This group targets on elderly people over 65 years of age or above who still active, and their carer. Services include: fun & health activities, information sessions, cheap meal and transport.
Nepean Food Services - Penrith
Nepean Food Services hosts Community Restaurants that provide a happy, friendly and supportive atmosphere. Morning Tea and a two course lunch will be served. Alongside participating in enjoyable activities, which are supported by staff and volunteers. Nepean Food Services holds these events at Londonderry Hall fortnightly, and Regentville Hall. We receive high praise from consumers in attendance, wonderful feedback from families and always open door for more to join!
Nepean Food services also provides a variety of social outings, that also involve using a Lets Dine out Voucher at a participating restaurant. Some social outings also allow for consumers to have the opportunity to do something a little further afield supported by amazing Volunteers. Nepean Food Services take pride in our high standards for services and supports in our community and continuing a high COVID-19 Safety procedure to keep our consumers, volunteers and families safe.

Centre Based and Community Access Services -In a fun and interactive environment, programs and activities are planned to support our clients in forming enduring friendships and making the most of their day. Our Community Connections programs include homemade and nutritious morning teas, two course lunches, activities, themed days, guest speakers, entertainment, outings, transport and much more.We provide door to door transport to programs and activities in our wheelchair accessible, air-conditioned buses.
Vision Australia Geelong
Vision Australia provides telephone, centre based activities as well as excursions to support people with vision impairment to continue socialising and stay involved in hobbies, interests and sports. Participants meet according to shared interests or needs.
City of Burnside Home Support Program
We provide a range of bus trips to our 65+ City of Burnside residents including short 1/2 day trips and full day trips.
We provide a range of Health and Wellbeing programs for 65 + living in the Eastern Region including: Boxing Group, Contemporary Dancing, Yoga, Pilates, Singing, Chess, Small Group Training, Strength for Life, Knitting.
Resthaven Community Services - Paradise and Eastern
Working in partnership with participants, we develop group activities based on preferred interests, hobbies and abilities. Some activities are tailored to support people to retain or learn new skills, and to participate at a level they are most confident and comfortable with. Group-based activities may include:
• art, craft and other hobbies
• men’s, women’s and mixed social groups (games, guest speakers, entertainment, bus trips, lunch outings)
• wellness groups (gentle exercise, massage, education and discussion)
• educational activities/courses.
Activities are flexible depending on interests and skills people bring to the group. Group based activities are currently held at venues in the Paradise area. Transport to and from the venue may be provided, depending on your circumstances. Staff and volunteers are trained in supporting older people and people living with dementia.
