Our BlueCare services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services
are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included through companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.

The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is a State Government organisation providing comprehensive health services to country West Australians.
WACHS spans 2.55 million square kilometres and is the largest country health system in Australia covering the whole of the State outside the metropolitan area.
Despite vast distances, WACHS provides health services to residents and visitors that include emergency and hospital services, population, public and primary health care, mental health, drug and alcohol services, Aboriginal health, child and community health and residential and community aged care services.
WACHS provides aged and community care services for older people across our communities, including aged care assessments, community care, residential aged care, subacute and acute care, and transitioning older people from hospital back into the community.
WACHS is a provider of CHSP services such as domestic assistance, personal care, meals and food services, and transport.
Koori Community Kitchen and Community Garden
Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation run group sessions on how to cook quick, healthy meals on a budget and learn how to grow your own vegetables. Opportunity to taste new fruits and vegetables, share your favorite recipes and ideas and learn new skills in a safe and friendly environment.
Every Monday 10.30am to 1.30pm (During school terms)
cohealth - GenWest (previously Women's Health West) - Sunrise Program
Sunrise Women's Groups are for women who have a disability and want to meet other women and feel connected.
Groups are open to women living with a physical disability, intellectual disability, and/or mental health condition.
We come together to:
- Build friendships and support each other
- Get information about staying healthy
- Build our confidence
- Get to know our local community
- Find out about services
- Try new things and have fun!
We plan what we want to do together every six months.
We often have guest presenters who speak to us about things like:
- Keeping safe when out in the community
- Managing pain and medication
- How to build healthy relationships
- Relaxation and mindfulness
We also do social things, like
- Beauty therapy
- Massage
- Tai Chi
It's free to join and morning tea is provided. Most of our activities are free too.

Gracie Dixon Centre Bundaberg
Gracie Dixon activities program operates Monday to Friday 9am - 3.00pm. At Bargara we offer a group session each Thursday between 9.30am - 1.30pm. Helping people stay active, involved and doing as much for themselves as possible is proven to help people stay more independent with a greater sense of well-being.
Morning tea and a two course lunch is provided to all clients. Transport can be arranged within the Bundaberg area. A hairdresser is on site Monday - Wednesday for those wishing to be pampered. The centre is happy to loan equipment to clients prior to purchasing and we also have a resourceful library of books and DVD's.
Programs are tailored for those suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and the centre has run information sessions at the Dementia Cafe as the need arises.
ALL CLIENTS REFERRED TO SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP WILL ALSO REQUIRE A SEPARATE REFERRAL FOR TRANSPORT AND MEALS.
