Our BlueCare services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's Group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.

Kolan Home And Community Care
The Day Program operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the SH Flanders Room from the Bundaberg Regional Councils Gin Gin Service Centre at 4 Dear Street. This lovely venue was established in July 2014, has secure outdoor area, has wheelchair/disability access showers and bathrooms.
The Day Program operates between 9am and 3pm on Wednesdays and Fridays from the Childers Neighbourhood Centre at 69 Churchill Street. The venue has secure outdoor area, wheelchair/disability access to shower, bathroom and main building. ALL CLIENTS REFERRED TO SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP WILL ALSO REQUIRE A SEPARATE REFERRAL FOR TRANSPORT AND MEALS.

LUTHERAN SERVICES - Somerset Community Service
Join a friendly group of seniors for activities at the Fernvale centre. The centre is open Monday to Thursday. A bus can pick you up and drop you off if needed.
Get involved in social outings to local attractions and events, gentle fitness programs, craft (pottery and more), friendly games tournaments, monthly massage and pamper days, light nutritious refreshments included.

Bethanie Community Care - North Metro
Bethanie can provide services under a range of government funded programs including Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and Home Care Packages (HCP), or on a fee for service basis. The Bethanie team is trusted by clients and families to support them to age well in their homes and to remain connected to their community. Services can meet everyday care and clinical needs, such as nursing and therapy services, house cleaning, laundry, gardening, shopping, transport and home maintenance. Bethanie work collaboratively with clients to enable them to live active lives and pursue their interests individually or on a group basis. Respite services (either in or out of the home) are also available to assist carers with caring for themselves.

Canterbury City Community Centre - Social Support Groups - Large and Small
Includes group social support where clients attend the centre and participate in a range of activities and have lunch and morning tea. The groups go on monthly outings to a variety of destinations for lunch. We have groups on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Tai Chi on Mondays. We have a monthly calendar of our groups, outings and activities.
If clients drive they can make their own way to the group. Alternatively, our bus picks them up within a 3km radius of our centre at 130 Railway Parade, Lakemba.

You will spend the day enjoying a variety of wellbeing activities of your choice, all while being supported by our qualified team of home care staff and nurses in our secure purpose-built centre.
We provide morning tea and hot lunch, optional attendance to short outings in the community, and the celebration of special events throughout the year. We have onsite allied health team to support you in maintaining your physical abilities. Accessible buses can provide transport to and from the centre, to your home with the day centre staff supporting this travel.
Social Support Group – participate in a variety of creative and therapeutic activities including gardening, cooking, crafts, and reminiscence activities. Attend local venues and join in local entertainment. Celebrate as a group for local, national and international events, as well as personal milestones.
