Our staff speak both Mandarin and Cantonese and come from the same cultural background as the participant. We look at the strength of the participant and empower them to participate in activity they choose.
Our warm and welcoming social group will make people feel empowered and connected to the community. This will enhance their quality of life, maintain and improve their independence and to continue to live in the community with pride.
All our staff are qualified and adopt person centre approach to support participants in the group.
Activities include gentle exercise, singing, cooking, horticultural therapy, craft, computer class and excursion.

Group is for low level care. Eligibility: participants who require minimal assistance with mobility and personal care needs.

UPA Murray Home Care
The Amaroo Day Club is a social support group established for people who have dementia and is based at Lavington. The purpose of the group is to support people with dementia to remain living independently in the community, promote social interaction and provide their carers with respite. The group strives to provide a wide range of flexible activities which encourage participation, mental stimulation and the maintenance of physical abilities in a social setting.

These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities
