Respite for Carers with Nimbin Aged Care & Respite Services
Carers, have some time out while your cared-for person enjoys connecting with other people at one of our social groups in Nimbin, Koonorigan and The Channon, or on a bus outing, or come along together and share the fun. Maybe you'd simply like a chat with one of our support workers. We can assist with transport to our Weds Social Group in Nimbin and other transport arrangements can be discussed. In home flexible, short term and emergency respite is also available. Please call to discuss your needs. Small fees apply
City of Playford Social Support Groups
Programs provided at Virginia and One Tree Hill. One Tree Hill Friendship Group meets every Thursday. Virginia Friendship Group meets every Tuesday. Greek and Italian friendship groups also meet at Virginia Institute on alternate Wednesdays. Strength for Life Fitness classes, Tai Chi and LIne Dancing also offered at the Virginia Institute on Fridays
Macedonian Positive Ageing Services
Group Social Support provides an opportunity for clients to attend and participate in social interactions which are conducted away form clients homes, and in or from a fixed base facility, or center based settings. Theses activities are designed to develop, maintain and support social interaction and independent living. Activities may include: Group activities held in or from facility/center. Group excursions conducted by center staff but held away from the center. We strive to provide the best in providing quality services to support the ageing population of South Australia's Macedonian communities.

Social support group for Spanish-speaking people. Sessions held at Morella Community Centre, 90 Kings Road, Parafield Gardens fortnightly on a Friday.
St John's Community Care Cairns
St John’s Social Support Groups provides assistance with your social needs and encourage seniors to stay active. Groups activities are run in a homely environment with a home cooked meal, provide the opportunity to interact with other people and the carer to have time out. Our Social Support Group programs provide a range of activities from short half day programs to full day. The activities include for example; outings, social discussions with others,intergeneraational Childcare visits, trivia games, group walks, watching a movie with others, gentle exercise sessions, therapy sessions eg music, and a range of allied health professionals.

Our BlueCare services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.
CASS Care Activity Group Wollongong
The group targets multicultural seniors living in the area. The Wednesday weekly gathering is for Chinese-speaking seniors, while the Friday gathering is for Korean and other multicultural elderly individuals. The aims are to promote wellness and reablement through active aging and a healthy lifestyle, break language barriers, facilitate access to information, reduce isolation, and promote community participation
Merri Health Social Support (Northern)
Our Social Support Program support older people, people with dementia and people with disabilities to stay healthy, active and connected with their community. We run interesting and fun programs at our sites and in the community, such as walking groups, exercise classes and social outings. These are tailored to people’s needs and interests. The activities promote physical activity, connection in the community, emotional wellbeing and building or maintaining daily skills and capacity.
