Staying active and connected with other people in a nurturing and safe environment is a vital part of enjoying life. Anglicare’s group activity sessions are designed to encourage you to participate in a full range of stimulating and therapeutic group activities, including:
• Exercise classes e.g. swimming, walking, seated exercises • Relaxation and stress reduction
• Balance and falls prevention • Safety in the home
• Memory and cognitive training • Healthy eating and nutrition
• Education options
Sessions aim to help you reduce your risk of isolation, improve your health, and strengthen your links with your community.
Group sessions are conducted in the community. However, Anglicare also offers Social Support for Individuals that can be hosted either in your own home or in your local community.

Are you interested in Food, Fun, Conversation and getting out and about?
Lighthouse Lounge Activity group meet four days a week at the Port Fairy Senior Citizens Centre in Barclay st.
Friendly staff provide a warm and welcoming environment and if you prefer, we will pick you up and deliver you home.
We often enjoy conversation over a meal or dine out in the vast range of venues the South West has to offer.
Frequent bus trips to local events and attractions feature in our calendar and we are often out exploring the district. Some of our members also gather together for regular card days, concerts, men’s trips, snooker and movies.
We welcome new ideas and new people, so drop in for a cuppa and if our range of activities are right for you, we can help you register.

The Koroit Activity group meets four days a week at the Health Services campus in Mills st. Friendly staff provide a warm and welcoming environment and if you prefer, will pick you up and deliver you home.
We often enjoy conversation over a meal or dine out in the vast range of venues the South west has to offer.
Frequent bus trips to local events and attractions keep us out and about exploring and we also gather together for regular card days, concerts, and movies.

The Social Support program provides transport and a range of individual and group activities for older people who are isolated and need assistance to socialise and do the things they enjoy. Activities depend on the person’s interests and social needs including:
• Fun, friendly groups and outings supported by volunteers and staff.
• Individual volunteer visiting for companionship, walking or magazine delivery.
• Volunteer transport to community venues and activities.
• Planned activity groups provide a range of social, activity based programs.

Bonnells Bay Seniors Multicultural Health & Wellness Centre-Hunter Multicultural Communities
ECC's Bonnells Bay Multicultural Seniors Health & Wellness centre operates at the Bonnells Bay Youth & Community Centre's hall every 2nd and 4th Thursday; from 10am till 3pm. Clients attending are mostly from Polish background. Freshly cooked three course meals, cooked and served in a friendly and culturally harmonious environment are of the Mediterranean & Mid-European cuisine style.
Additionally, a wide range of activities and information sessions organised and presented in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner, helps improve client wellbeing and reduces their social isolation. Our other centres cater for Greek, Polish, Italian, Macedonian, Ukrainian and mixed multicultural communities. All services provided are person-centred and culturally appropriate. Our clients are encouraged to actively participate in creating and managing their own individual care plans.
