Providing socialization to the socially isolated and respite for carers. Catering for those over 65 under CHSP or with a Home Care Package. We provide respite for carers knowing that their loved ones are being looked after in a safe environment. Various activities are programmed into each month to provide entertainment from our band of lovely musicians who provide music from the old sing-alongs to country & western, rock & roll, country & western along with some smooth tones from a couple of crooners. We also exercise the mind & body with quizzes, guest speakers and arm chair physical exercises. Other activities include bingo, skittles, bobs, carpet bowls and various table games just to name a few. The day starts with our famous morning tea then after the morning activities a 2 course lunch is served. Bus Transport is available if living in the town confines for a small fee. Come down & join in the fun!!

HMC's Waratah Multicultural Seniors Health & Wellness Centre operates in the John Gebhardt's Centre 2A Platt St, Waratah NSW hall five days a week: Monday to Friday; from 9am till 2pm. Staff and clients that attend are from diverse and multicultural backgrounds. HMC supply freshly cooked three course meals which are cooked and served in a friendly, culturally & harmonious environment and designed from an International style cuisine. HMC
Additionally, a wide range of activities and information sessions are organised and presented in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner, this helps to improve client wellbeing and reduces their social isolation. Our centres cater for CALD (Greek, Polish, Italian, Macedonian, Ukrainian and mixed multicultural communities). All services provided are person-centred and culturally appropriate. Our clients are encouraged to actively participate in creating and managing their own individual care plans. Transport is provided by HMC transport.

You can access our health and wellness services in a number of ways.
Our Wellness Centres provide onsite consultation and rehabilitation services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and podiatry. We also offer a range of specialised programs for physical and mental health, fitness, and of chronic condition management. Our home safety assessments and recommendations can be made in your home by our Occupational Therapists.
