The Finnish Friendly Visiting Service
Our Social Support Groups are Finnish CALD specific services, catering for Finnish linguistic or cultural needs. Our social activities are tailored to the interests and needs of older people from the Finnish communities or of similar backgrounds.
We meet every second Tuesday of the month at Glen Waverly and the first Monday of the month at our Centre in Altona for a big gathering called “Aivoriihi”.
Our groups also go on community outings to places of interests, for picnics, to restaurants and for special cultural events.
All programs include meals, freshly cooked. Program fees are kept to a minimum
Community bus available for transport, subject to capacity.
Joining a Social Support Group with the Finnish Friendly Visiting Service is a very warm and welcoming experience. Please contact us for more details.
