Ethnic Link Services (ELS) is a statewide CALD specialist service that assists older people and their carers from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds to maintain their independence and to support them living at home in their communities. ELS uses bilingual, bicultural staff to provide language and support services for clients. ELS also facilitates social support groups for various CALD communities across South Australia. New languages are added as required. Additional to the CALD specialist supports, we are now also offering support to Non-CALD older people and their carers.

Carers support
Our services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services
are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.
ITSOWEL - ITALIAN SOCIAL WELFARE ORGANISATION, PORT KEMBLA SOCIAL SUPPORT GROUP
The service caters for persons from a culturally diverse background, with an emphasis on ITALIAN speaking persons and all activities are delivered in a manner which is culturally appropriate. All staff are fully trained with cultural expertise and able to speak ITALIAN . A hot, culturally appropriate meal is provided. Transport to and from the client's home.

We provide a wide range of tailored services for people who need one to one personal assistance or just a little bit of extra help to fully participate in community life.
We offer: services for people on a one to one basis and small social group outings called Trios in a car for up to 3 people.
Our service planner will meet with you to design your service. Services we provide include:
Movie Club, Brunch club, Coffee and a Chat, social outings by car to Parks, Museums and Art galleries..
We have practical services such as getting the shopping, support to develop digital skills and gentle exercise classes; and
if it is hard to leave home at the moment we can phone you for a catch up, visit you at home or take a short walk with you in your neighbourhood.
Our affordable services are provided by a mixture of paid and volunteer assistants who speak a variety of community languages.
