Bridges is a Social Support Service that connects individuals to social life through matching a volunteer who will provide an in home visit or outings that bridges the individual to community life.

This is a free community-based health service located in Healesville for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their families living anywhere in the eastern metropolitan region.
It provides a broad range of services which are available through home visits and outreach including primary health care services, case management and advocacy, social and emotional wellbeing support and home and community care.

Exercise Group at Collingwood Seniors Hub - Tuesday 11am -12pm
A free balance and exercise class in Collingwood, suitable for individuals looking to build strength and flexibility. The group is taken by a qualified instructor with upbeat music, and uses dumbbells, resistance bands and body weight exercises to improve physical fitness. The group are friendly and welcoming. New attendees are welcome to come and watch, or simply try a class and see if they like it.
This class is suitable for both seated and standing participants.
Community transport to this group can be made available upon request.

We know it's important for carers to look after themselves, while feeling assured that their loved one is being cared for. Our care team provide tailored elderly support so your family or carer can rest, recharge, or take some time to do the things they enjoy doing.

Our social support groups offer recreational and social activities for older Macedonian speaking people as part of the Commonwealth Home Support Program. The focus of the social support groups is to aid in preventing social isolation.Our program also offers outings and there is capacity for limited transport to and from the group. Morning teas and lunches are provided.

Vision Australia provides telephone, centre based activities as well as excursions to support people with vision impairment to continue socialising and stay involved in hobbies, interests and sports. Participants meet according to shared interests or needs.

There are currently two multicultural social support groups provided in the Brimbank LGA, who meet an an alternating fortnightly basis.
