Our staff speak both Mandarin and Cantonese and come from the same cultural background as the participant. We look at the strength of the participant and empower them to participate in activity they choose. Our warm and welcoming social group will make people feel empowered and connected to the community. This will enhance their quality of life, maintain and improve their independence and to continue to live in the community with pride. All our staff are qualified and adopt person centre approach to support participants in the group. Activities include gentle exercise, singing, cooking, horticultural therapy, craft, computer class and excursion. Please contact us for more details of the group.

We offer City of Mitcham residents a range of engaging activities: special interest groups such as cooking, games, & craft, and fitness; 'out-and-about' bus adventures; weekly afternoon activities at either Cumberland Park or Blackwood Community Centres with refreshments, and an option to join a community meal; as well as men's lunch groups - enjoy mateship with a bus trip to dining venues around Adelaide. All dietary requirements are catered for and transport to and from groups is available with a Transport Referral.
