Group Social Support provides an opportunity for clients to socialise with old and new friends, in our Community Room in Wee Waa. We have a number of different programs available, to suit client needs, including:
Gentle Exercise every Monday in Wee Waa from 10.30am to 11.30am
Day Activities every Tuesday in Wee Waa from 10am to 2pm
Midweek Merriment every Wednesday in Wee Waa from 10am to Midday
Transport is available to our Centre for people living in Wee Waa. Limited transport is available from Gwabegar and Pilliga. Clients from Narrabri are welcome to attend, but no transport is available.
Connect Health & Community (Bentleigh East)
Centre based groups Monday to Thursday 10 am to 2.30pm. Program tailored to the interests and abilities participants that includes some physical activity and a variety of other activities.Tea break and a light luncheon provided. Transport available from Bentleigh East, Bentleigh, Brighton East at an extra cost. Tai Chi exercise group 1.30 to 2.45pm Thursdays in Hampton. Local transport available. Inspections and come and try available.
Jack Young Centre - City of Salisbury
The Jack Young Centre (JYC) is a friendly, welcoming and accessible leisure centre for people over 50 including people with a disability. The purpose built facilities have recently been upgraded and are fully accessible, offering a unique blend of programs, activities and services. such as: Activities - Arts and crafts; cards and games; Indoor Bowls; Bingo; Knitting group; creative writing; Literacy classes; choir; computing courses; Brain Gym; wood burning; Tai Chi; walking groups; prime Movers (chair-based exercise); foot massage; hairdresser etc.
Para Hills Centre - City of Salisbury
The Para Hills Centre offers social programs for over 50's on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with a large range of activities on offer. On Fridays the 'Para Hills Club' program is specifically designed for people over 65 (catering for isolated and frail seniors). The program includes interesting activities, guest speakers, morning tea and lunch. Transport available for eligible participants. The Para Hills Centre (PHC) is a friendly, welcoming and accessible leisure centre for people over 50, including people with a disability. Frozen ,meals are available on request.
Vietnamese Social Group - City of Salisbury
Social Support group for people from Vietnamese background meets fortnightly at Pine Lakes Centre, 16 Homestead Place, Parafield Gardens. Social activities, information sessions, outings and morning tea.
The Shed - City of Salisbury
The Men’s Shed is located at The Peter Badcoe Complex ,located off Taranaki Road at Edinburgh The Complex is shared with The Northern Vietnam Veteran’s Association and The Ex-Military Rehab Centre The Men’s Shed offers men a friendly and safe place to learn new or re-hone some lost skills in woodwork, painting, metalwork, arts and crafts, computer or just have a game of 8 ball and a coffee and make some new friends on the way. South East Asian Social Group - City of Salisbury

Social support group for people from Polish background, meets fortnightly at Jack Young Centre, Salisbury. Social activities, information sessions, outings and lunch.
