Social connections to promote mental health & physical well-being. Offering programs in Melbourne and the Inner West, GCS brings groups closer together whilst taking in the sights and sounds of Melbourne. Out & About, Tuesday Travellers, Willingly Active Seniors, Boomers, Fishing, Flexi Friends, Melton social groups and much more. Our Intake team will contact you to discuss options. Groups get together weekdays between the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm including transport. Activities include picnics or walks through parks and gardens, taking in a movie, visits to museums, exploring Melbourne’s wonderful food venues whilst enjoying lunch and a good conversation with other members of the group. The choices are endless! A weekly or fortnightly social activity will be offered for people over 55, high functioning, low physical support needs and independent with personal care requirements. GCS’ bus fleet offer pickup and drop from your residence on the day of program.

Australian Unity’s home services are suitable for older people who would like some extra support to get the most out of life.
We offer support with everyday activities like personal support, cleaning and gardening, as well as health care services delivered by qualified professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists.
Our friendly and dependable team will take the time to get to know you and tailor a support program to suit your individual needs. You’ll have a choice of team members to assist you and they will work with you as part of your expanded support team.
You’ll only pay for the services you use and agree to.

Carers support
Our services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services
are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.
MiCare Multicultural Social Support Group Carrum Downs
At our Multicultural and Dutch social support group, we look at the strength of the participant and empower them to participate in activity they choose. Our warm and welcoming social group will make people feel empowered and connected to the community. This will enhance their quality of life, maintain and improve their independence and to continue to live in the community with pride. All our staff are qualified and adopt person centre approach to support participants in the group. Activities include board games, physical games, Quizes, exercise, craft, themed days and outings.
