Social Support
Carers support
Our services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services
are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included though companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.

Groups meet weekdays throughout the Shoalhaven and include social, card/games, walking and dementia specific groups. Activities are planned which encourage good company, participant interaction, guest entertainers or speakers, craft and games. The groups have a focus on providing opportunities for people who live in the community and are aged 65 years or over (50 years and over if you’re of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent). A monthly Carer’s support group is facilitated at Sanctuary Point where carers are able to access information and talk to others in similar caring roles. Please ring 44433434 or 44227422 for further information on how we can support you to maintain your social activities or introduce you to new ones.
