Social and community activities in a group setting
For some people, social interaction can be a difficult and daunting experience. Taking part in a support group that aligns with your lifestyle or interests will reduce any anxieties you may have and help with your overall wellbeing.
How we support you
Catholic Community Services provides a wide range of centre-based groups for you to attend and participate in. Through structured and diversionary activities, we’ll help with your basic nutritional, exercise and recreational needs. Bus transport to and from the centre can be provided (select suburbs only). We also organise group outings away from the centre, where light refreshments, as well as a full lunch, transport to and from the centre are included. Some centres also offer overnight care and day therapy which can provide your carers with much needed respite, allowing them to re-charge their batteries.

Social Support
Carers support
Our BlueCare services can support carers through respite programs and education programs to assist with managing the needs of the person they care for. Carer support programs and services
are designed to give relief to carers by offering support when and where it is needed the most.
Men's group
We have social groups for men, focused on keeping them socially engaged while enjoying activities at our centres or within the local community.
Social activities - individual and group Social support assists clients to participate in community life and feel socially included through companionship and activities in their local communities. These activities can be group based at one of our centres or community excursions or individual support to complete shopping and bill paying activities.
