A day program meeting the needs of people living with memory loss and their carers located in Boronia. We provide a variety of structured activities and social programs for those living at home.We have been operating for the last 30 years in the City of Knox, offering respite and carer support for those living in the Knox, Maroondah and Yarra Ranges.

Multicultural Communities Council of Illawarra-Multicultural Social Support Groups Illawarra
MCCI's Social Groups meet regularly to support older Australians from all cultural backgrounds. The groups are held at locations across the Illawarra and provide nutritious food, and a wide variety of lifestyle, and health and well-being activities taking into account the individual preferences of the participants. Currently the MCCI runs the group program for Greek, Turkish, Portuguese, Croatian, Serbian, Arabic, Dutch, Burmese, Italian, Indian, Spanish, Multicultural, Men shed and Memory support group.

MDSI (Macarthur Diversity Services Initiative) – Focus Connect on Northern Sydney Region
Our Multicultural Aged Day Care Service provides senior citizens with the unique opportunity of meeting and socializing with people from their own culture. Each group is run by a trained worker who speaks the language of the group providing an important link between the participant and the service. This worker can also help break the barrier that is faced by many of our elderly from non-English speaking backgrounds by liaising with health professionals, service providers and government departments ensuring that they have access to information through visiting speakers.
MDSI (Macarthur Diversity Services Initiative) – Focus Connect on Fairfield Region
Our Multicultural Aged Day Care Service provides senior citizens with the unique opportunity of meeting and socializing with people from their own culture. Each group is run by a trained worker who speaks the language of the group providing an important link between the participant and the service. This worker can also help breach the barrier that is faced by many of our elderly from non-English speaking backgrounds by liaising with health professionals, service organizations and government departments ensuring that they have access to information through visiting speakers.
Participants are transported to and from the group by South West Community Transport and morning tea and lunch are provided for centre based activities.

Each group is run by a trained worker who speaks the language of the group providing an important link between the participant and the service. This worker can also help break the barrier that is faced by many of our elderly from non-English speaking backgrounds by liaising with health professionals, service providers and government departments ensuring that they have access to information through guest speakers.
Participants are transported to and from the group by FOCUS Connect. Morning tea and lunch are provided for centre based activities.
Client Contribution is $15.00 per person, per session.
