Life Without Barriers is a national not-for-profit organisation providing care and support services across Australia. We started small, but we've grown to over 100 offices in Australia. We think local but draw on our wealth of experience to make sure local communities - from city suburbs to remote townships - receive the support and services that are right for them. Our Commonwealth Home Support Programme is tailored to assist you to remain living at home for as long as possible and to enable you to have choice and flexibility in the way that care and support is provided at your home.
Resthaven Community Services - Northern
Domestic assistance: working with you to maintain your home environment. We work in partnership with you to do the domestic tasks that you are unable to do, under your direction. The focus is on working with you to maintain your independence. Services may be short term or ongoing, depending on your assessed needs.
Services include supporting you to complete tasks such as:
• house cleaning (assistance with cleaning floors, bathrooms and wet areas)
• dishwashing
• laundering clothes / bed linen and ironing
• shopping and/or bill paying (unaccompanied)
• assistance with meal preparation
• de-cluttering and rubbish disposal
• minor pet care
• other small domestic tasks that you require support to undertake
Staff are trained and skilled in supporting older people and people living with dementia.
Australian Unity Home Care Service - Corowa
Australian Unity’s home services are suitable for older people who would like some extra support to get the most out of life.
We offer support with everyday activities like personal support, cleaning and gardening, as well as health care services delivered by qualified professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists.
Our friendly and dependable team will take the time to get to know you and tailor a support program to suit your individual needs. You’ll have a choice of team members to assist you and they will work with you as part of your expanded support team.
You’ll only pay for the services you use and agree to.

Southern Cross has been supporting people in their communities throughout NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and ACT (including metropolitan, regional and remote locations) since 1984.
We organise quality services for people over the age of 65 (50 for Indigenous People) who need support with personal daily tasks and want to continue living in the comfort of their own home.
Southern Cross has locally based Regional Community Coordinators (Registered Nurses) who will work with you to establish an individualised care plan and to provide ongoing support supervision to ensure the quality of the service.
Local Support Workers provide a variety of domestic services to enable you to continue to live comfortably in your own home.
The Support Worker can assist with:
- Changing bed line
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Cleaning kitchen benches
- Dusting
- Laundry
- Vacuuming, mopping and sweeping inside and outside
