Lorne Community Hospital is located in the township of Lorne on the Great Ocean Road, within one hour travel from the major centres of Geelong and Colac and 2 hours from Melbourne. The Lorne nursing home is a high level care facility with 19 long term high level care beds and one flexible respite bed, which can cater for high and low level care needs. Registered nurses manage the resident care 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Constructed over two levels, person-centred care is at the forefront of this home’s design with private en suite bathrooms, care within dedicated groups and space for respite and palliative care. As residents need change, we strive to enable them to ‘age in place’, receiving ongoing care without the need to change rooms.

All rooms are large and include en-suite bathrooms, built-in robes, reverse cycle air conditioning and television points. Adjoining rooms can be provided for couples and respite care is also available.
