At Footprints our aim is to support people to remain independent and living the lifestyle of their choice. Our Aged Care Services team engage with people to assist them to remain in their home and connected to their family and community for as long as possible. Their home includes a variety of living arrangements including rental houses and boarding houses. At Footprints we aim to work collaboratively with each individual person to support their health and well being. Support provided through our Home Support Program is provided within a model of reablement and restorative care approaches, working with older people in the delivery of support to maximise their independence and encourage self-sufficiency. . Staff from the Footprints Aged Care Services team can provide information on how you can access practical assistance.

Goods, equipment and assistive technology includes items that assist you with self-care, mobility, communication, reading and personal care and support you to maintain or regain independence. Equipment can be provided through loan or purchase.
Examples include (but are not limited to):
• mobility aids (e.g. walking sticks, walking frames)
• medical care aids
• communication aids
• car modifications
• equipment for domestic tasks (e.g. tap turners, food preparation tools, robotic vacuum cleaners)
• dressing aids
• shower chairs
• sensor mats
• over-toilet frames, bidets
• adapted utensils
• low vision aids such as binoculars, electronic magnifiers and magnifying/reading software.
In partnership with you, you will be assessed to identify the most suitable equipment for you, and training in its use may also be provided. Depending on the cost of the item, you may be required to contribute towards the cost of equipment.
Charleville Goods, Equipment and Assistive Technology Service
Goods and equipment are provided to assist a client to cope with functional limitation and maintain their independence. These can be provided through loan or purchase. Items include those that assist with mobility, communication, reading, personal care or health care. Items on hand for loan include shower and toilet chairs, bath boards, commodes and a walker. Other items can be organised for loan or purchase if requested at the client’s discretion.
