SLHD Podiatry
SLHD Podiatry services are provided at locations across the Sydney Local Health District:
• Croydon and Marrickville Health Centres
• Canterbury, Concord, Balmain and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals.
The aim of the podiatry services within the Sydney Local Health District are to provide effective management of foot problems in people living in our community. Services are provided to clients with foot problems who are unable to provide the level of self care needed to maintain their own foot health and for whom the provision of podiatry care is assisting to maintain their mobility and independence.
Priority is given to:
• clients with foot problems/pathology for whom a hospital-based podiatry service is deemed more appropriate (due to their particular needs)
• clients for whom financially disadvantage is a barrier to accessing treatment
• clients with a serious chronic disease or a mental health diagnosis that is impacting their foot health.
Uniting Communities Health Access
Uniting Communities’ Health Access offers Allied Health services promoting wellness and reablement to support you to maintain your physical, cognitive and social health and wellbeing to enable you to continue living at home, in your community as independent and active as possible.
We offer a range of services: Physiotherapy, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Home Safety Assessments, Podiatry, Hydrotherapy, Arthritic Hand Group, Cognition groups including Brain Gym and Active Brain Group plus many exercise groups: Falls/Balance Class, Strength Class, Pilates, Easy Movement for Active Ageing and Chi Ball.
We tailor activities to support the individual and their needs. We also have CHSP domestic assistance, Social Support, Personal Care and Transport

Vision Australia’s occupational therapists provide advice, recommendations, demonstration or training on strategies on grooming, maintaining health and fitness, clothing care and management, management of medication, identification of money, telephoning skills; preparing meals and safety etc.
Orbost Regional Health - Allied Health
ORH offers the following Allied Health services:
Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Dietetics, Cardiac Rehabilitation and related programs/groups.
Nutrition & Dietetics – Brookvale
Community dietitians provide a range of nutrition services including dietary assessment and specialist dietary advice aimed towards the prevention of malnutrition, improving nutritional status and therapeutic management of many chronic diseases and conditions. Specialist nutrition advice will be provided to clients and/or their carers to address issues such as inadequate oral intake, unintentional weight loss or weight gain and provide special diet plans to manage their condition/symptoms. For example diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, kidney disease and dialysis, food and nutrition advice for dementia and chronic diseases. Recommendations may include diet modification, nutrition plans, including oral nutrition supplements and enteral feeds to the client and their carers. Interpreters are available if required.
