SLHD Podiatry
SLHD Podiatry services are provided at locations across the Sydney Local Health District:
• Croydon and Marrickville Health Centres
• Canterbury, Concord, Balmain and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals.
The aim of the podiatry services within the Sydney Local Health District are to provide effective management of foot problems in people living in our community. Services are provided to clients with foot problems who are unable to provide the level of self care needed to maintain their own foot health and for whom the provision of podiatry care is assisting to maintain their mobility and independence.
Priority is given to:
• clients with foot problems/pathology for whom a hospital-based podiatry service is deemed more appropriate (due to their particular needs)
• clients for whom financially disadvantage is a barrier to accessing treatment
• clients with a serious chronic disease or a mental health diagnosis that is impacting their foot health.
