At Footprints, we support people to remain independent and living the lifestyle of their choice. Our Diversional Therapy program provides opportunities where people may choose to participate in leisure and recreation activities which promote self-esteem and personal fulfilment. Programs and activities promote individual choice, decision making and participation.
Diversional therapy practitioners work with older people to design and facilitate leisure and recreation programs. These activities are designed to support, challenge and enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of individuals.

Diversional Therapy is a client centered practice that recognises that leisure and recreational experiences are the right of all individuals and can lead to increased sense of good health and wellbeing.
Our Diversional Therapy service works with people who may be experiencing social isolation or loneliness to design activities that support, and enhance the psychological, spiritual, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of individuals. We offer a personally tailored package of care based on your identified wellbeing goals and needs. The program includes an initial consultation and 4 - 6 one-on-one sessions delivered at home and may further include supported access to community based social or leisure activities, and/or pathways to volunteering.
