The District Nurses
The aim of Allied Health is to provide a wellness approach to health, reduce functional decline, and risk of falls through individually designed exercise programs, Occupational Therapy review for home modifications and equipment and Physiotherapy. The District Nurses partner with an Exercise Physiologist to deliver two Exercise Classes every Wednesday morning from our Wellness Hub in Moonah. Transport to and from can be organized if required.
Our classes improve muscle strength, balance, coordination, posture, and limb range of motion.

Our Community Health & Wellness services focus on rehabilitation and prevention. Consultations are available onsite at our awarding winning Carmelite Community Health & Wellness Centre in Myrtle Bank or The Pines Community Health & Wellness Centre in North Plympton, and direct to the client’s home via a clinician visit or Telehealth. Southern Cross Care offer a wide range of allied health and therapy services including physiotherapy, accredited exercise physiology, occupational therapy, social work, dietetics, podiatry, registered nursing and massage therapy. Our experienced friendly team will work together with you to get you onto your best health pathway using our range of specialised programs for physical, social and mental health, group exercise or one to one therapy, and chronic condition management. In addition, our Occupational Therapists can offer a range of home safety options to keep you safe and living in your home for the future.

Cultura - Healthy Living Centre
Mindful Moves - a 1-hour group session, 3 days a week, focusing on gentle chair-based exercises to increase strength and mental and physical wellbeing. An initial physiotherapist assessment is included with the program before starting.
