Merri Health provides a range of allied health services that support older people to live independently and safely in their homes and in the community. Our allied health staff are highly skilled and work as a team to ensure that clients’ needs are identified, goals for therapy are agreed with the client and carer (if appropriate) and care is delivered in a client-centred way in a manner that promotes wellness, re-ablement and restoration of function. Our services respect the cultural and linguistic diversity of our clients and interpreters can be arranged as required.
Our Occupational Therapists visit clients at home to assess the environment for safety and accessibility and can make recommendations for modifications to the home and to daily tasks to promote independence in their home. We also provide a limited home visiting service for residents requiring Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics (eligibility criteria apply) & Podiatry (Housebound clients only)
