Social Work - Mona Vale
Social workers engage in interpersonal practices including psychosocial assessment of clients and their carers, case work and counselling for those clients and carers who are facing a crisis, illness or complex social situation.
Social workers aim to enable and empower clients and their carers with the support and resources they require to remain in their home or to consider alternative options for long term care and accommodation. This may be achieved by referrals and advocacy to support services e.g. ACAT, respite services and other community support services.
Social workers provide intervention regarding complex matters such as elder abuse or Guardianship issues.
