Kalyra - Hills, Mallee CHSP
Kalyra staff can help you connect or reconnect to your community, friends, family, someone with similar interests or to activities of your choice e.g. book club, volunteering programs, learning computer skills and other technology, church, walking groups, music interests, fishing, photography outings, men’s shed, pool/snooker group.
Kalyra will work with you to identify a worker with similar interests to your own and they will spend time getting to know you, your interests and wishes. This could lead to resuming favourite activities-e.g. chess or cards, meeting other individuals, trying or joining social groups or just maintaining friendly visits or outings with the worker.
Telephone social support is also provided for people who would like to make contact with Kalyra, but do not wish for a person to visit on a regular basis.

Australian Red Cross - Social Support (Telephone Contact) - NSW
Telecross is a telephone check-in service that helps you start the day with an act of human connection. Every morning, you’ll receive a phone call from one of our friendly volunteers who’s keen to find out how you are.
Telecross operates 365 days a year. What makes it unique is that our callers check on the whole person (that’s you!), rather than focusing on a single aspect of your life.
Build community connections from the safety of home with Telechat, a phone-based social service. Telechat can help you meet new people and stay connected to the wider world through regular phone calls with an Australian Red Cross volunteer.
When you sign up for Telechat, we’ll match you with a volunteer who shares your interests, background, values or culture. You tell us what matters to you, and we’ll do our best to find a volunteer who fits the bill.
