Social support: working with you, assistance is provided one to one by a companion (paid worker or volunteer) either at home or for activities in the community. Staff and volunteers are trained in supporting older people and people living with dementia.
Activities are based on your preferred interests and needs and may include:
• home-based activities such as cooking, gardening, dog walking, reading, playing games, assisting with technologies that help your connect with friends, family and community
• accompanying you to do your shopping/bill paying, and attend appointments
• supporting you to connect/reconnect with community groups and activities such as social or sports club, participating in exercise, attending a book club, church, football or the movies, singing in a choir, visiting friends.
Where needed staff or volunteers can provide transport and accompany you during activities.
