Assistance provided by a companion
Feeling part of community life and being socially included while you continue to live independently at home can be an important factor for your wellbeing. To help you feel integrated, a companion could be the answer.
How we support you
To ensure you take part in meaningful and enjoyable activities that suit your needs, interests and abilities, Catholic Community Services offers assistance provided by a companion.
The companion is either a paid worker or a volunteer who will encourage and support you as you take part in social and community activities. This service could include activities such as meal assistance, outings and day trips, visiting you in your home and in some cases accompanying you to appointments, such as the doctors.
