Australian Unity’s home services are suitable for older people who would like some extra support to get the most out of life.

We offer support with everyday activities like personal support, cleaning and gardening, as well as health care services delivered by qualified professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists and podiatrists.

Our friendly and dependable team will take the time to get to know you and tailor a support program to suit your individual needs. You’ll have a choice of team members to assist you and they will work with you as part of your expanded support team.

You’ll only pay for the services you use and agree to.

WACHS spans 2.55 million square kilometres and is the largest country health system in Australia covering the whole of the State outside the metropolitan area.

Despite vast distances, WACHS provides health services to residents and visitors that include emergency and hospital services, population, public and primary health care, mental health, drug and alcohol services, Aboriginal health, child and community health and residential and community aged care services.

WACHS provides aged and community care services for older people across our communities, including aged care assessments, community care, residential aged care, subacute and acute care, and transitioning older people from hospital back into the community.

WACHS is a provider of CHSP services such as domestic assistance, personal care, meals and food services, and transport.

The Personal Care service is assistance with daily self-care tasks in order to help a client maintain appropriate standards of hygiene and grooming while promoting and encouraging independence within the Clients limits.
Services can include –
• Assistance with (or supervision of) bathing, showering or sponging
• Assistance with dressing and undressing
• Assistance with shaving, hair care and grooming
• Assistance with mobility (in bed and out of bed) such as to sit up, to turn, to stand and walk, to sit, to transfer to commode or chair.
• Assistance with toileting
• Assistance with prescribed exercise or therapy programs
• Assistance with fitting and use of appliances such as splints and callipers or hoists
• Assistance with hearing aids and
• Communication devices

Assistance with showering, dressing, foot care, assistance with client self administration of medication.
