The WMH Continence Advisory Service (CAS) provides comprehensive assessment and advice on the management of urinary or faecal incontinence for both client and carers. The service has a multi-disciplinary team approach with access to a specialist Continence Nurse and Physiotherapist and other allied health and medical services, if required.
The Continence Nurse and Physiotherapist will develop a management plan that may include education on bladder and bowel health, pelvic floor muscle training program, bladder training, toileting, diet and fluid intake, constipation management, and continence aids/equipment information. Assessment is also provided for government subsidised continence aids through CAPS or ENABLE (must be a pensioner to be eligible).
