SASI is our healthy ageing program. The aims of the SASI program is to provide a wellness approach to health, reduce functional decline, and risk of falls through individually designed exercise programs that improve muscle strength, balance, coordination, posture, and limb range of motion; and address the 5 domains of functional decline – mobility, cognition and emotional health, continence, nutrition and skin integrity. We partner with an Exercise Physiologist to deliver an exercise program in the client’s home that has been adapted from the Otago Exercise Programme – To prevent falls in older adults. The program is ongoing and the client will have verbal and written instructions and supervision tailored to their own needs, which is reviewed and amended over time
There is no out of pocket expense for this program to the client if we are able to access the Allied Health items on a GPMP.
