Golden Age Day Respite Centre provides a comfortable relaxed environment in which to enjoy the varied activities which are offered to our clients Monday to Thursday each week. We provide a wide range of activities which are designed to encourage participation, social engagement and promote wellness. The Centre can provide transport, meals, morning and afternoon tea. Our Clients are the centre of what we do and are therefore asked regularly for input into the types of activities, outings and entertainments which are provided both in house and at various local venues. The Centre also specifically caters for the special care required for those who have advancing dementia by providing a home like familiar environment with trained staff to make the day enjoyable and relaxed for these clients. The Centre also provides for the spiritual needs of our Clients by providing a church service each Thursday morning. This is particularly enjoyed by those who can no longer get to Sunday services.

Description

Golden Age Day Respite Centre provides a comfortable relaxed environment in which to enjoy the varied activities which are offered to our clients Monday to Thursday each week. We provide a wide range of activities which are designed to encourage participation, social engagement and promote wellness. The Centre provides transport, meals and a break for carers. Fees include $10 respite, $8 transport and meals at cost. Our Clients are the centre of what we do and are therefore asked regularly for input into the types of activities, outings and entertainments which are provided both in house and at various local venues. Our service also specifically caters for clients with memory loss by providing a home like familiar environment with trained staff to make the day enjoyable and relaxed. Our range of activities are designed to encourage social interaction and slow the progression of memory loss related illness.
