We provide a visiting Occupational Therapy service for people residing in the Cape York Communities of Aurukun, Coen, Cooktown, Hope Vale, Laura, Lockhart River, Kowanyama, Mapoon, Napranum, Pormpuraaw, Weipa and Wujal Wujal.

Our Occupational Therapist works with clients and their families to promote safety and independence when completing daily living activities at home.

Services that we provide include:

• Home safety assessments.
• Home modifications eg. grab rails, ramps, bathroom modifications.
• Equipment prescription eg. shower chairs, toilet frames, pressure care cushions and mattresses.
• Mobility aid prescription eg. wheelchairs, wheelie walkers, walking sticks.
• Education and advice to prevent falls.
• Advise on making daily tasks easier.
• Education and training for clients and their Carers.
