These services provided to clients must focus on minor repairs or maintenance of the home and garden to improve safety, accessibility and independence within the home environment for the client, by minimising environmental health and safety hazards. Services can include a range of maintenance or repair tasks such as: • garden maintenance –lawn-mowing, pruning or weeding. • replacing light bulbs and tap washers • installing batteries in smoke/security alarms • gutter or window cleaning to single level homes only. The provision and frequency of on-going home maintenance services (e.g. lawn mowing and garden pruning) must directly relate to assessed client need in terms of maintaining accessibility, safety, independence or health and wellbeing and be subject to review.
