Mosman Community Restaurant: Where can you have a tasty 2-course home-style meal for less than the cost of a cafe sandwich while you catch up with friends and make new ones in a lively atmosphere with music and spontaneous dancing and singing? There’s nothing like Mosman’s Community Restaurant in the Seniors Centre from 12:30pm to 2pm every Friday. It’s a great place for groups to meet, carers to bring their loved ones and people to come on their own. The volunteers chat to the guests, place new guests with like-minded people and make sure everyone feels included. There are special themed lunches every month with unique decorations, music and food, and guests often dress up. Themes include French, British and Italian, and events like Melbourne Cup and Christmas, which fill up fast so bookings are a must. To top what is already amazing value, the first meal is free and so is every 10th one after that (under a loyalty system).
