We also provide an older multicultural migrant lunch once a month. It brings people from different cultures together in a social setting and includes bus outings and guest speakers.
At Blue Mountains Food Services we're all about helping you to remain independent and socially connected in your community by providing nutritious protein dense meals delivered to your home, or served at one of our 5 community centres across the Blue Mountains. The Meals on Wheels service utilises friendly volunteers who deliver frozen meals and some fresh items from our cafe in Lawson to residents' homes within the Blue Mountains LGA from Tuesday to Friday every week. We also run 7 Community Restaurants each week: Blaxland on Tuesdays, Springwood on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Lawson and Blackheath on Wednesdays and Katoomba on Mondays and Fridays. The Community Restaurants are run by friendly local volunteers who serve delicious & nutritious freshly cooked meals. These restaurant spaces are also networking and information opportunities where regular activities occur, including guest speakers, games and other opportunities to socialise and connect with others.
