Provides social support and activities to residents living in 'pension-only' Supported Residential Facilities (SRFs) in the Prospect and Walkerville council areas. The program supports SRF residents to remain connected to their community through a range of group and individual opportunities, both onsite and in the community. All activities reflect the interests and requests for assistance of the residents. Residents are supported to maintain independence and continue with existing interests and explore new ones. Social and recreational opportunities are a primary focus. However, the program also assists residents through the provision of linkages to a variety of services including advocacy, information, counselling, community and council resources. The program is delivered by paid staff and a team of volunteers. Relationships are developed with other agencies and service providers to build comprehensive and sustainable outcomes for the residents.
