Social support-groups provide an opportunity for participants to attend and engage in social interactions away from home. The structured activities are provided in a group-based environment and designed to develop, maintain and support social interaction and independent living.
The groups held at The Lodge have ~ 10 Participants.
Activities are based on participants interests and may include:
• group-based activities promoting physical activity, cognitive stimulation and emotional wellbeing e.g. news discussion, music, craft, pool/snooker etc.
• group excursions conducted by staff but held away from The Lodge.
Services include light refreshments, a meal (If attending over lunch time) and associated transport and personal assistance involved in attendance to the program.
Social support groups are for entry level services and priority given to those who are not on a Home Support Package or NDIS funding
